How to Improve Your Photography Website

For the majority of photographers, their website is the central hub through which potential clients will find and decide whether or not to hire them. And so, it is important to put a lot of careful thought into your website, as it can make or break the success of your business. This excellent video tutorial discusses some mistakes beginners make with their websites and how to fix or avoid them.

Coming to you from Justin Mott, this great video tutorial discusses some mistakes newer photographers make with their websites and how to fix them. By far, the biggest mistake I see photographers make with their websites is including too many photos instead of being really strict with themselves and only including their absolute best images. It is always tempting to include a lot of photos; after all, we want to show off our work to the world. However, in a portfolio with 30 images, it only takes one mediocre one to stick in a potential client's memory and make them think twice. It is much better to have a smaller portfolio of nothing but your best work than a larger one that is a bit of a mixed bag. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Mott.
