Artificial lighting affords you a wide variety of creative and practical options, but it is not always reasonable or feasible to use it, particularly at home. That does not mean you can't create professional portraits, though, and this fantastic video tutorial will show you how to do it.
Coming to you from our friend, Pye Jirsa, with Adorama TV, this excellent video tutorial will show you how to create a natural light portrait studio at home. For a lot of us, it simply is not reasonable or practical to lug a bunch of lighting gear to our home, but we may want to do family portraits or the like, or you may be newer to lighting, in which case, mastering working with natural light is a great way to start. And while Jirsa is using a garage here, if you do not have a garage, remember that you do not need one; any similar structural area should work quite well. It is also a fantastic way to create some nice family portraits while we are all stuck at home right now, and all it takes is a weekend afternoon. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Jirsa.
