How to Find Your Photos in Lightroom

After you have been photographing for a couple years, you are likely to amass quite the collection of photos, and it can be a bit difficult to find what you need once you have thousands upon thousands of images to sort through. Luckily, Lightroom has a wide variety of features designed to help you find the photos you are looking for, and this great video tutorial will show you how to use them.

Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this great video tutorial will show you how to find your images in Lightroom. Most photographers' catalogs easily reach into the tens or even hundreds of thousands of images after a few years, and that can make it very difficult to find anything that was not shot relatively recently. One important thing to remember, though, is that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. In other words, while Lightroom certainly has an array of tools for finding the photos you need, creating a robust organizational system from the start (whether you prefer keywords, collections, or something else) will make your life much easier as your catalog continues to grow. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Morganti.
