A Look at How to Capture Compelling Waterfall Photos

When it comes to landscape photography, waterfalls are always a popular choice of subject, as they offer a great way to add some movement to an image and make it more dynamic and compelling. If you want to improve your own waterfall photos, check out this great video that will give you a helpful look at an experienced landscape photographer's process.

Coming to you from Andrew Marr, this excellent video will show you an approach and workflow for photographing waterfalls. Waterfalls are a fantastic subject choice and leave a lot of room for creative interpretation. One important thing to remember is that you do not need large waterfalls to create compelling shots. Even very short waterfalls can be used to your benefit if you pay careful attention to your choice of focal length, where you place yourself, and  the perspective. I have used a few that were only a couple feet tall before, and with precise framing, they worked perfectly well for creating a compelling shot. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Marr.
