Captured at first light during October 2018. Florence had been 30 degrees with clear blue skies and I knew everyone was capturing the same shot. I needed something unique, checking the forecast it looked like a storm was inevitable. So I made the decision to wake at 6 am to capture first light.
I fired off a few shots and it was just too dark, I played the waiting game and then it happened. A waste lorry or something similar made a loud bang and a flock of birds took for the sky. Luckily I had the camera set up enabled for touchless shutter and could fire off the perfect shot.
I don't think I could ever capture this again!
