Oh WOW! My dream shot is to get a kingfisher as you did in this photo! Was that under controled conditions at a hide or in nature? I think that its impossible to get it in nature, but if you did it you have some skills man! :P

I love that the background is completely distraction-free. That is wonderful!

I would like to see more sharply defined detail in and immediately around the eye. That area looks softer than the detail on the breast to me. But maybe that's just my monitor?

It also appears that there is more than one highlight in the Kingfisher's eye. Could that be from multiple artificial lights or flashes?

Thanks Tom! It is just because of the image size (1400px wide), the eye is sharp. I prefer to work with a small DOF to keep the background out of focus and also I want it to be able to print in high quality for my shop, so I need to be as close as possible.

I indeed use 'some' flashes ;-)
