Curfew Colour Challenge - Black

June 5, 2020

Curfew Colour Challenge all started because we have been in curfew for nearly 3 months in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The country went into curfew because of Covid -19. We wanted the children to not get too stressed and at the same time not get bored so we came up with the Curfew Colour Challenge. We choose all the colours and they ran around looking for the clothes and props. We also delved into the emotions connected to colour through art. The rainbow is also our nod to all the front line health workers dealing with Covid patients.

Black: Power, sexuality, sophistication, formality, elegance, wealth, mystery, fear, evil, unhappiness, depth, style, sadness, remorse, anger, anonymity, underground, good technical color, mourning, death (Western cultures), austerity, detachment.
