Dahlia Abstract 5

This is an abstract dahlia. I was just looking for the interplay of color, light and dark more than a 'floral' shot. As an abstract style photographer, I am always looking for the line, color and shape 'inside' the subject.

This shot was taken in shade with a beam of sunlight on the flower - a situation that always makes me stop for a second look! Back home, I tinkered with the shadows but less than you might think.
