Jacques La Flèche's picture

While walking down the slope of a street corner that would only be comparable to those of San Francisco, (yet somehow narrower), my attention was caught by this man peering off into the distance as if watching someone or something with disapproval. As I approached the man, (his gaze unwaveringly persistent), I too looked down the road but found nothing of seeming importance. Eventually abandoning his post and casually retiring to his living room I continued to stand there surveying and assessing the scene yet drew a blank for the reason of his intensity.
