Faces by Gregory Thanos
January 3, 2021

It was early in the afternoon when I noticed these rocks. Although the lighting was not good they immediately caught my attention. I really liked the cracks between them, their forms and shapes as well. I imagined each rock like a face. I decided to visit the location again, later in the afternoon where the light would be better. As time went by the light began to become more suitable. The spot I had found was surrounded by relatively high hills and I had to catch as much light as possible. When I returned to the spot I noticed that the warm colours of the sunset created a more flattering contrast between the colours on the rocks and the little plants.
